Fox Timelapse Video

Hi everyone!
Sorry it's been a while! The timelapse video for Fox is finally complete and online. I've got a new set-up now since the previous video with the numbat, and it's a lot easier to film.
Speaking of the numbat, I entered it into our annual agricultural show, and it sold on the opening day! It's the first time I've entered anything into an exhibition for sale, so it's pretty exciting

Numbat Timelapse Video

As mentioned when I uploaded my last illustration of the Numbat, I have been working on my very first timelapse video. From now on, most if not all of my major projects will have videos to go with them, so now you can watch me in action! Hi everyone!
So after a very long absence I am posting things to deviantArt again. Truth be told, the large gap is in no small part due to the fact that I really haven't been drawing much lately. This year, that changes! I am currently in the middle of my Honours year (fourth year) of university, doing a behavioural study on the African Painted Dogs at my local zoo. It's pretty intense, especially compared to some of my peers, who have much shorter data collection periods than I, but it is definitely good fun and very interesting. I get some good perks at the zoo too in the process, no complaints there!
But I am also putting aside time to draw, because next year I want to explore the possibility of becoming a proper illustrator. As a result, you should be seeing a lot more of me on here in the future.
Additionally, I have started a new website, and a host of accounts on social media. So pick your poison, and let me bombard you with art!

So, I thought I'd better update my journal since the old one was ... well, old. And besides, given what day it is, it seemed appropriate. What day? Well, the day after my big performances of course!
My solos went so well! I actually enjoyed being up there. Sure I was a bit nervous to begin with, but it passed quickly and I slipped into really relishing the moment. I'm on such a high right now
In the meantime, Uni is being a timehog, so no art from me until November I'm afraid. Even if I busted out a sketch I probably wouldn't have time to upload it, so ... sorry guys
On the subject of sketches, though, I did receive a gorgeous Shaun Tan sketchpad from two of my work colleagues, so I'm looking forward to using that later on
Not to mention an absolutely magnificent set of composer-themed inks for my fountain from the legendary

The creatures that dominate my DeviantArt gallery are the snarks, being my pet creations and something that keeps me well and truly occupied when boredom threatens to ruin my life. There's a lot more to 'em than is revealed here and I am happy to divulge to you if you are interested and nerdy enough like myself.
Anyway, if you are interested, you are more than welcome to create a snark character for yourself, however I request that you let me know and credit me as the creator of the species. Besides, I'd love to see what you come up with!

OK.
I highly doubt there will be another weekend + Monday like this for a very, very, very long time.
Over the weekend, I performed in Beethoven's 9th Symphony (specifically the end, the Ode to Joy, if you feel inclined to Youtube it ) in our city's Winter Arts Festival; owned a ferret for 90 minutes before mum came home and ... yeah, we won't talk about that; had my first car incident backing into someone while reverse parking but yeah we won't discuss that one either I mean it was just a little paint don't judge me and tbh he was kind of cute and didn't seem too bothered ok I'll shut up now; ...
) in our city's Winter Arts Festival; owned a ferret for 90 minutes before mum came home and ... yeah, we won't talk about that; had my first car incident backing into someone while reverse parking but yeah we won't discuss that one either I mean it was just a little paint don't judge me and tbh he was kind of cute and didn't seem too bothered ok I'll shut up now; ...... And then today I went to see my choir director about the concert flier and to return some books and basically complain about how much Beethoven bleeding hurt and she says, yes, well, here's some good new for you, I want you to sing some solos in out next concert.
And I sploded.
I am still sploding.
Partially over the fact that my dad still seems reluctant to come along even though I'm going to have a frigging big part in it all and that too bleeding hurts.
Anyway, I just wanted to explain my absence and why I have been (reluctantly) ignoring my inbox which was stacking up in my absence, particularly to to whom I promised a Finnedyr and renew that pledge which I will satisfy sometime this week hopefully - I've already thought out the colours - and basically to say that being busy has once again befallen me even though uni is still two weeks away
